The Storm

We are all afraid

of the calm before the storm.

But believe me, friends,

there are few things sweeter

than the reverse.

When the seas rest,

and the wind slows,

and the shaking ground is still;

when the clouds clear

and the air is a little warmer.

That,

is pure satisfaction.
